Aiko
is a med/large male with excellent structure that he passes on
to his progeny. He is a joy to live with, and is my constant companion.
He is a very social dog and brings many characteristics and qualities
to his progeny that are important and significant. His ball/hunt
drive is outstanding and endless. He loves people and is not dog
aggressive. He has a tremendous love of life, swimming, and a
remarkable work ethic.

Dogs
bred to work from early morning to late at night, no matter the
season need to be sound and healthy. This is vital. Aiko is certified
hips and elbows and comes from a long line of good hip production.
He is out of a litter of 6 and 4 of them have been x-rayed. All
have good or excellent hips with normal elbows.
Photo Left: Aiko 5 1/2 years old. Aiko was bred
in Germany by Karl Fuller from Kirschental
Kennels. Xissie his dam was then purchased by
my friend and imported to Canada in whelp after Karl retired from
sheep herding.
Aiko's
dam line goes back to Blanka Mummelsee, one of
the pure and piller HGH lines. Out of Blanka's
daughter Vefa (Bernd v Lierberg) and their daughter
Fenga vom Kirschental (Racker v Itztal), came
a long line of outstanding working dogs. One of these being Xitta
von Kirschental, a pure working dog on sheep. At her
evaluation at a trial, the evaluator said he would have placed
her VA had she had a SchH title and not just a HGH. A year later,
Xitta earned her SchH 3 and IPO 3 and FH! I am
proud to own a dog that has this rich heritage behind him.
Aiko
is trained in tracking through drive and continues to enjoy the
challenges of this type of track. He has been assessed by the
RCMP who see him as an impressive and talented dog
with great potential.
We
have also done some training in Variable Surface tracking
in which he excelled. His picture should be in an upcoming book
written by Ed Presnal on the topic of Variable Surface Tracking.
When the harness comes out, Aiko's nose is on the ground and he
is ready to go!
Aiko
continues his training in large flock herding (tending/boundary).
He is presently working a 3 and 4 sided border and doing extremely
well. You can tell that Aiko was bred for the large herd tending!!
He is a strong dog who positions himself correctly on the borders.
Due to his strength and drives, he has not been an easy dog to
trial. Few trials offer the number of sheep needed for him to
show his talents. I wish a HGH trial was offered closer to home.
Right now, the only one in North America in located in New Jersey.
Aiko
has produced excellent puppies and passes on
his strong characteristics and good structure. He has
3 sons who are bomb detection dogs and a grand
daughter who will be ready to certify in explosives in spring.
As well, one of Aiko's son's is currently working as a security
dog in Vancouver. Even with his strong work ethic, Aiko
produces puppies that are cherished family companions.
Tikka,
one of Aiko's daughters, lives with us. Tikka is a valued asset
to our home and breeding program. She continues to produce excellent
puppies with the characteristics we value and appreciate. She
is a striking dog whose love of life is enchanting! To

Aiko
